Hand Therapy

Hand Therapy Specialty Right Here in Mountain Home, AR

Are you trusting your hands to a specialist?

A Board Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is a therapist who has completed a minimum of five years of clinical experience, 4000 hours of practice in hand therapy.  The CHT must pass an international board examination on clinical skills and theory.  Additionally, every CHT is required to re-certify every five years.   Our very own Crystal Henry is a  CHT with 20 years of experience.  She is part of The Hand Therapy Certification Commission and AROTA (Arkansas Occupational Therapy Association).
Crystal has the experience, expertise and proven results to offer the highest level of care and most up to date treatment in the area of upper extremity rehabilitation.  This includes treatment for the following:
  • Shoulder Rotator Cuff Injuries
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Nerve Injuries of Arm or Hand
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Fractures of the Shoulder, Arm, or Hand
  • Tendon Injuries
  • Finger Sprains
A hand therapy specialist provides non-operative interventions, preventative care and post-surgical rehabilitation for a wide range of upper extremity disorders.   Certified hand therapists employ a variety of techniques and tools, including exercise programs, custom orthotic fabrication, pain management and wound and scar care.  They also can be a consultant, training industrial workers in healthy work habits.

What to expect from hand therapy at Ozark PT Specialists....

"I gained used of my thumb again, something of which I never thought possible after coming to Ozark PT Specialists.  Crystal was caring, concerned, sincere, and had a devotion towards my care.  I never had a therapy session that I didn't leave feeling like part of the family. They are all hands on with the whole therapy process and it never felt rushed.
If you have to have therapy; you need someone that knows what they are doing, cares about you, and is not just in it for the money.  You need someone who will explain things to you and is committed and caring.  That's what you need when you need therapy and that's what Ozark PT Specialists will give you." - Ben G.
